Viewing The Dynamic HTML Dogfight Web Pages
To view these Web pages, you should have the following Web browser configuration
as listed below;
-
Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator/Communicator 4.0
or later, with JavaScripting enabled.
-
A screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or better.
-
An active color display palette of 256 colors or better.
To really get the most out of these Web pages, I would recommend that the reader
use Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0 or later. I use a number of DHTML elements
that are not fully implemented or supported by Netscape Navigator/Communicator at
this time, especially in creating the F-117 Stealth Fighter dogfight page. However,
as soon as Netscape Navigator/Communicator 5.0 is released, I will make every reasonable
attempt to make sure that all pages have the same level of functionality.
Going Into Combat
From any of the Intelligence or
Engage Web pages, just click your
mouse pointer on the jet aircraft with which you would like to do battle.
Each of the Dynamic HTML Dogfight pages are displayed inside a "popup" Web browser window.
If you're locked onto a target and have a chance of hitting it, just click on your mouse.
To reset the display, just click again to reset to the original image.
You can also reset the dogfhight Web browser window by bringing up the Web browser's
context menu, and clicking on the Refresh/Reload
menu item.
Tip: You'll find that one of the aircraft is much easier to pursue than the other...
