The Art of Proper Pollarding
of  Trees Presentation

I am offering classes on the ART of Pruning with respect to natural biological and mechanical features of trees.

I believe pruning is a Fine Art. Pollarding is an ancient Art Form of retaining size and shape of a tree, i.e., when done correctly. An understanding of natural boundaries and respect for such is pertinent to establishing a proper framework. Much of what is called Pollarding has been actually tree mutilation. I offer presentations to help people understand proper pollarding.

Each person will touch a tree and properly establish there own pollard on samples in class.

POLLARDING, means establishing the framework i.e. the size and shape of a tree. This has to be begun when the tree is young and repeated yearly by removing the sprouts without injuring the swollen areas and without leaving a stub. It is not only tree care, it is an art and avoids later improper tipping or topping.

Willing to work on any tree topic.

Presentations for most ages.

The Book TREE BASIC for 6th grade and up available at a discount.
