Chester County, PA
Information Center
Welcome to my collection of information on Chester County,
Pennsylvania: its boroughs, city, townships, school districts and
officials elected to Congress (both state and federal). Now that I've
completed the basics, my main goal is to insure that the information
remains accurate.
Consequently, if you find any errors, or locate (a source for)
any information you think should be added, please send an E-mail to
rellis@ccil.org. I will acknowledge
all responses, so if you don't receive a reply from me
within a week you can assume that I didn't receive your message.
Starting in 1998, real estate assessments are based on 100% of
1996 market value; prior years' rates were based on 33-1/3% of 1972
market value. A one (1) mill tax rate in 1998 and later is
approximately equal to a 16 mill rate in prior years.
The information provided on these
pages has been obtained from sources believed to be reliable, but I take
no responsibility for any errors or omissions.
