Romansville Friends Meetinghouse

1. Romansville Friends Meetinghouse - Built in 1846 on land donated by the Worth Family for use by the Hicksite branch of the Branch of the Bradford Friends located in Marshallton.

On July 29, 1846, John and Lydia Worth, residents of a farm just outside Romansville, conveyed one acre and 88 perches of land to Richard Worth, William Sugar and John Romans "for the use of Bradford Preparative Meeting. A brick meetinghouse was erected on this lot and a burying ground established. Early members of this meeting included members of the Worth, Romans, Baldwin and Rodebach families of the Romansville vicinity.
