We've recently seen two different emails purportedly from CCIL that are very good fakes. They both dream up administrative matters that need to be corrected and then ask for information including your password.

These emails ARE very convincing
but these emails are NOT sent by anyone from CCIL.

These are phishing attempts - fishing for your username and password.
We never have and never will ask for your password in an email.

WCAEA 2009 Donation

CCIL (Chester County InterLink), an all volunteer, non-profit service organization providing resources that strengthen families and builds communities, is the recipient of a generous $8,000 grant.

Current economic conditions have increased the need for CCIL's services and simultaneously limited funding for non-profit organizations. This grant will allow CCIL to continue to serve Chester County by providing free computers, support, and access to electronic information via the internet. Economically disadvantaged individuals need access to digital information in order to improve their situation. Students, in particular, need computers and internet access to progress their studies in order to become productive contributors to society. Many can't afford to purchase computers or pay for commercially available internet access. CCIL is pleased to be able to help in this respect.

Have a computer to donate?
Chester County Interlink, in conjunction with the West Chester Area School District and other community partners, are helping reallocate used computers back into the community. The targeted recipients are students in the West Chester Area School District and their families that might not otherwise be able to afford such equipment or Internet service.
